It was a great turnout this Sunday at the beautiful Chabot College Gymnasium for some great marquee games throughout the day. It was good to see some familiar faces and new faces in the bleachers.
The first game of the day featured the defending Champions ATR vs Filipinas. Team Captain Deejay for ATR promised to have his team ready for the first game of the season because he knew that the Filipinas Team was going to be tough to beat. Filipinas Team Captain, Helter, hoped he prepared his team to play their best against the Champions.
The second game of the day featured the fun and exciting SF Warriors and against the tough the hard nose Bula. This season the talented Jeffrey Dacanay for SF Warriors is not playing but the SF Warriors are filled with talent up and down the line up. Bula added a few new players this season to surround VJ Santos this season.
The third game of the day featured a new team Omaha Night Hawks lead by the quick Aaron Asilo against the Spartans lead by the multi-talented Drexel Flores. This match up was basically a family pick up game because they are all literally related or grew up with one another. Never the less it was a fun game to watch.
And the last game of the night featured another new team the Meier Company led by the all around player Nik Bautista and Code Green lead by the sharp shooting Jason Rivera. The Meier Company is a collection of super talented athletes and they look like a serious contender this year. Code Green is a completely new team this season but added a lot of great players to the team.
