U2SP D League Season 2

Starting off this season will be an award Ceremony for Season 1 Champions ATR!  We are excited that they will be back this season defending their title.  We have most of the teams returning from last season.  Some have comeback in a different form and others are old friends that wanted new competition.

Things to note this season:

  • We will be experimenting with new referees this season, one at a time.  They will be from a different area so that there will be no question on their integrity or any "favoritism" allegations.
  • No one is allowed to speak to the referees before or after the game on a one on one basis.  They are there to work at our games and that is it.  No fraternizing with the referees please or you will face a stiff suspension.
  • Only the Head Coach or Team Captain can "respectfully" question a call.  NO player can approach the referees or a technical foul will be assessed.
  • Family, friends or fans cannot yell out negative comments to a player or referees to distract, belittle or entice violence.  Examples are "you suck"or "you're not good".
  • There will be a stiff suspension or ban  issued if the rule is violated.
  • Family, friends or fans can yell non words or sounds to distract a player because it is part of the game.  Examples are "boo", awwwwww"and "whoop".   Any hybrids or combination of the examples are welcome.
  • Roster must be set by the third game.
  • A player must play 1 game before the third game.
  • A player must play 4 games to play in the playoffs.
  • We will be enforcing strict uniform rules this season.  I know that some of the teams that were formed have ordered their uniforms and are waiting for their orders to come in.  By the third game everyone should have matching uniforms.  If you need help finding affordable uniforms please asked Justin Cardona to refer you some options.
  • All uniforms must be tucked and earrings are not permitted during play.
  • We had little incidences of violence this past season so we only hope that the NO VIOLENCE RULE will continue to be respected.  WE truly are grateful for everyone's participation.
  • The Coaches or Team Captains are responsible for their team management.  Rules and regulations should be clearly understood before the game is played.
  • If coaches, team captains, players, family, friends and fans have questions or concerns please, please, please contact us at up2speedsports@gmail.com
Let's just have fun this season!
