Two weeks later we are back in the gym. For some teams it had been three weeks but we are happy four of our top teams laced them up and offered us 2 amazing games. Let's get to it!
Bula vs Nimisis
The game started out fast for Bula with Richie hitting four three pointers in the first half accompanied by Denie and Sam creating opportunities for their teammates and finishing at the rim. In true Nimisis fashion, they made several big runs to keep the game within reach lead by Marlon and Jonathan with Aries Cordero and Joseph making big plays down the stretch to actually tie the game in the third quarter. Ray for Bula hit two big threes in the fourth quarter to secure his team a win. What a game! Game of the Week!
Joyful Smile vs Legends
The hottest team in the league, Legends, have been out for three weeks and were extremely eager to hit the hardwood. JSD (Joyful Smile Dentistry) has been riding a two game losing streak and played this game without their leading scorer, Edgar Espanola, and their leading rebounder, Mel. It didn't look good for JSD but once the ball touched down on the hardwood... JSD came out on FIRE! They were led by Hieu Nguyen's energy. The whole JSD team played well but the Legends team captain and floor leader, Dindo, wouldn't let his team go down in flames. Dindo ignited his team with defensive and offensive plays that got the momentum swung in Legends way. Allen and Kobe started to hit shots from beyond the arch while Joel and Sonny collected the rebounds. It came down to the last few minutes of the fourth quarter when Bernard, Richie, Rom and Lan for JSD made key buckets down the stretch. JSD are now out of the loss column and into the winning column. Congratulations!
