Week 4 was filled with some surprise pleasantries from a new team entry and the rolling out of the red carpet for the long awaited arrival of Joey Salgado, S1 leading scorer. Let's get to it!
Filipinas vs New Team
Filipinas is looking stronger with every passing week. Their chemistry is improving with their team leading scorer, Pao, racking up buckets from every part of the court. He's just unstoppable right now! With Helter and Jonver at the helm, Filipinas is almost a shoe in for the Playoffs. The New Team is made up of some parts from "Code Green" with the sharp shooter Jason Rivera and some SEABA players. Chris Castillo is part of the "New Team" and is looking to make a splash in his first game at Up 2 Speed Basketball League. This team shows promise and needs time to build chemistry.
The game started off close for the first two quarters. The New Team actually played well with Chris and Jason leading the way. Then Pao, Christopher and Maverick caught fire! They led Filipinas on a 10 point run and captured the lead then never looked back. Filipinas won their third straight game.

Bula vs Spartans
We were looking forward to this rematch from last seasons Playoffs. VJ for Bula showed us why he is considered one of the best in the Bay with his performance last week. The one on one match up that we were looking forward to was Masoto vs Vince, SPEED vs SPEED! Vince grabbed the bull by the horn and rode it straight down the lane for incredible finishes at the bucket. Masoto was not going to back down and caught fire from behind the arc finishing the game with 7 three pointers. Bula's Ryan kept the game close with an all around performance but Nav for the Spartans caught fire from behind the arc as well and helped his team pull out a close game. The Spartans are undefeated with a 3-0 record.
ATTENTION:
Correction was made... Masato Hayworth scored 29 points with a RECORD 8 three pointers. Congratulations for an incredible performance!

Dragons vs Primetime
I have to pinch myself every weekend to be so lucky to have a front row seat to watch incredible games from incredible athletes every Sunday. Everyone was anticipating Joey Salgado's return to U2SP Basketball League. Joey looked eager and up for the challenge to continue his scoring dominance this season. Marco and the rest of Primetime had a welcome back present for him... a hand in his face for 40 minutes! In Primetime fashion the game was nothing short of a sprint. Ryan and Alex for Primetime finished at the rim periodically. The Dragons, Rob and Hervin, kept the game under control by getting their bigs and Joey the ball on time for easy buckets. Joey soon found his range in the third and fourth quarter hitting five three pointers for the game. TJ for Primetime took the game over with continuous drives to the basket and frequent trips to the line to lead his team to a Win.
